I replied to the comment you left on my site too by the way.

Thanks April, feel free to say hello on MySpace or Facebook. I'll be on Twitter soon also.

This website is about to CHANGE big time!

To my sisters and brothers on the super-duper radical left: I detect low energy and enthusiasm. We need to pull our heads out of our asses and get back to our work right now.

Lets call it OPERATION GET OUR FUCKING SHIT TOGETHER! No to single issue distraction politics and yes to our Revolutionary imaginations, aspirations and commitments!

Of course Robin!

I hope my post wasn't misleading. I'm not quitting or anything, I'm just going to move in a different direction. This website was intended to be a venue for radical inspiration, however, in the last few months I've let it become a public diary for me to piss and moan. Fuck that!

Part of my despair regarding this website is that the way I enjoy writing isn't possible with my schedule. My essays probably read as if they were written casually but they actually take quite a bit of effort. Effort I enjoy btw! In my frustration with a lack of time for creative pursuits I either post nothing or post when I'm in a really shitty mood. As a result this blog is a fucking drag!

So me and John (Earl) are re-imaging the whole project. I'm going to do one more intense and "over-the-top" essay and then I'm going to go a little more mainstream. After John updates the look and function of the site I'm going to try a different writing style. I'm thinking I'll focus on more mainstream politics from a radical point of view like Paul Street, short but aggressive like Mickey Z and a little story telling like Joe Bageant. Something like the stuff I was doing around the election except a little more consistent.

To put it another way--sorry DHS--I'm not going anywhere! Consider the last year and a half a dress rehearsal. We're just getting started!!

I haven't given up. I know it may seem like I have by how slow my site gets updated, but I've been working overtime offline to get some important stuff done. I'm trying to start a Food Not Bombs here in Green Bay; so, in order to find out more about the hunger problem in this city, I volunteered several hours with a group called "Students Against Hunger". I'm also trying to organize a presentation here at UWGB with Food Not Bombs co-founder Keith McHenry.

Also, I've been doing tons of research about what types of activism accomplish the most. I read "Ishmael" by Daniel Quinn (which is about how civilization is the original cause of almost every problem known) and I just bought his other book, "Beyond Civilization" which is entirely devoted to solutions to THE problem.

Don't worry about promoting any of my posts right now. If I need something promoted then I'll make sure to ask you for some help, and vice-versa if you post anything you absolutely need spread like wildfire.

I have more to say, especially about "The New Left", but I have to get some sleep before my morning class.

Peace and love,
Robin

Dear comment poster named Aaron. While deleting the 1000 or so spam comments from lovers of porn and "swingers" I deleted your comment dude. Sorry. Nothing personal, I also deleted a comment from Stephanie McMillan, a comment that almost caused me to wet myself when I saw it.

Come back by anytime.
