These pamphlets by Larry Law had a huge impact on my thinking. They were intended to be a more accessible presentation of Guy Debord’s Society Of The Spectacle. Though Debord’s’ work is certainly worth studying, it reads much like philosophy written by the goddamn “Riddler!” These pamphlets are more user friendly to any ordinary person, and thus, actually more revolutionary than Debord’s work. Check out all of them; they are short, fun and subversive as fuck!

Debord and Bakunin were just broken out of purgatory and they emailed me from the future. They wrote that: “Your kind finally figured out that the state was nothing more than a conditioned mental belief system, bureaucratic institutions ran by conditioned humans to maintain the Spectacle of State belief and monopolized violence to back it up. Once your kind lost your belief, the bureaucracy crumbled and all that was left was the “authorities” monopoly of violence. However, that period was short lived. Once you people refused to build their bullets and bombs, it was pretty much over for them.

I think Huey P. Newton is the best possible person to focus on for our launch of (two weeks late) Radical Black History Month. Here he is in his own words:

Robin of Waupaca was Wednesday night’s “Radical Black History Month” trivia contest winner on MySpace. Robin, who recently attended prom, is a bit more of a patriot than your humble host here, however he does possess a great spirit of dissent and resistance even if we don’t agree on everything. Here is what he said about himself:

“These are a few qualities I consider virtuous: Restraint when pursuing material desires, humility in behavior, self-reflection to correct flaws, unending curiosity and suspicion to find the truth, equality of judgment, honesty in conversation, unquestionable loyalty to your significant other, love for your friends and foes, mercy in victory, forgiveness in betrayal, sympathy for hardship, kindness in interaction, hospitality to strangers, generosity to the those with less, charity to those who need it, friendliness to those who don’t deserve it, humor in all things, openness to new ideas, cooperation in overcoming obstacles, and unwavering action against injustice.”

I have no idea who made this, it was posted on YouTube by “everything4every1.” I think it’s outstanding for people just getting interested in radical politics. For those of you already committed to “The Revolution” some of it might seem a little obvious, but still worth a watch. Enjoy.
